Movie was remade in Telugu as "Manasantha Nuvve", released in 2001, In Bollywood as "Jeena Sirf Mere Liye", released in 2002, In Kannada as "Manasella Neene", released in 2002, In Tamil as "Thithikudhe", released in 2003 and in Bengali as Moner Majhe Tumi", released in 2003. Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made very huge amount of profit. It was the highest grossing Indian film of 1946.
