Awaara is 1951 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Crime Drama film. Awaara is directed by Raj Kapoor and produced by Raj Kapoor and the story is written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas & VP Sathe. Its star cast are Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor & Nargis Dutt in the lead roles. Film marks the acting debut of Nadira. Film was released in Overseas Market as "The Vagabond". Movie was Remade in Turkey as "Avare", released in 1964. Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made very huge amount of profit. It was the highest grossing Indian film of 1951.
