Azaad is 1955 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Drama film. Azaad is directed by S.M.S. Naidu and produced by S.M.S. Naidu and the story is written by Rajendra Krishan & Namakkal Poet. Its star cast are Dilip Kumar & Meena Kumari in the lead roles. This movie was a remake of Tamil film "Malaikkallan", released in 1954, which itself was directed by S.M.S. Naidu (S.M. Sriramulu Naidu). Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made very huge amount of profit. It was the second highest grossing Indian film of 1955.
