Hero No. 1 is 1997 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Comedy Drama film. Hero No. 1 is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani and the story is written by Rumi Jaffrey. Its star cast are Govinda & Karishma Kapoor in the lead roles. Story of a film was inspired by Bollywood film "Bawarchi", released in 1972. Movie was remade in Telugu as "Goppinti Alludu", released in 2000. Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made a very huge amount of profit. It was the seventh highest grossing Indian film of 1997.
