Movie was remade in Kannada as "Nee Bareda Kadambari", released in 1985, In Telugu as "Pachani Kapuram", released in 1985 and in Tamil as "Nann Adimai Illai", released in 1986. Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made huge amount of profit. It was the third highest grossing Indian film of 1985.
