Dhamaal is 2007 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Comedy film. Dhamaal is directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Indra Kumar & Ashok Thakeria and the story is written by Paritosh Painter, Balvinder Singh Suri & Bunty Rathore. Its star cast are Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chaudhary & Javed Jaffrey in the lead roles. Story of a film was inspired by American comedy film "Rat Race", released in 2001. Dhamaal is the first installment of Dhamaal film series / franchise. Second installment is "Double Dhamaal", released in 2001, which is also a sequel of Dhamaal and the third installment is "Total Dhamaal", released in 2019, which is a reboot of Dhamaal. Movie was also remade in Kannada as "Mast Maja Maadi", released in 2008. Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made a good amount of profit.
