The Accidental Prime Minister is 2019 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Biographical Drama film. The Accidental Prime Minister is directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and jointly produced by Sunil Bohra & Dhaval Gada and the story is written by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, Mayank Tewari, Karl Dunne & Aditya Sinha. The story of the film is an adaptation of the book "The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh", Written by Sanjaya Baru which was published in 2014. The story is a biopic of former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh. Its star cast is Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh in the lead roles. Movie was clashed with Vicky Kaushal's "Uri: The Surgical Strike".

First look of the film was released on 06th June 2017 on Anupam Kher's official twitter account. Official trailer of the film (2 Minutes 43 Seconds) was released on 27th December 2018 on Pen Movies official YouTube channel and trailer gained 78 Million views on YouTube since its release. Film was released in total three languages: Hindi, Tamil & Telugu. Hindi version was released on 11th January 2019 and Telugu & Tamil version was released on 18th January 2019. Film did not perform well at Indian box office and even did not recover its official budget.
