Haathi Mere Saathi is 1971 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Romantic Drama film. Haathi Mere Saathi is directed by M. A. Thirumugam and produced by Chinnappa Thevar and the story is written by Salim-Javed & Chinnappa Thevar. Its star cast are Rajesh Khanna Tanuja in the lead roles. Story of the film is an adaptation of "Deiva Cheyal", released in 1967. Haathi Mere Saathi was remade in Tamil as "Nalla Neram", released in 1972. The earlier titled of the film was decided "Pyar Ki Duniya", but later it was renamed to "Haathi Mere Saathi". Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made very huge amount of profit. It was the highest grossing Indian film of 1971.
