Mother India is 1957 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Epic Drama film. Mother India is directed by Mehboob Khan and produced by Mehboob Khan and the story is written by Mehboob Khan, Wajahat Mirza & S Ali Raza. Its star cast are Nargis, Sunil Dutt, Rajendra Kumar & Raaj Kumar in the lead roles. Movie was a remake of Bollywood film "Aurat", released in 1940, which itself was directed by Mehboob Khan.

Movie also won two awards in National Film Award, such as "All India Certificate of Merit for Best Feature Film" and "Certificate of Merit for Best Feature Film in Hindi". Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made very huge amount of profit. It was the highest grossing Indian film of 1957.
