Chitchor is 1976 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Romantic film. Chitchor is directed by Basu Chatterjee and produced by Tarachand Barjatya and the story is written by Basu Chatterjee & Subodh Ghosh. Its star cast are Amol Palekar & Zarina Wahab in the lead roles. Story of a film is based on Bengali story "Chittachakor" by Subodh Ghosh. Movie was remade in Telugu as "Ammayi Manasu", released in 1978, In Malayalam as "Minda Poochakku Kalyanam", released in 1990, In Tamil as "Ullam Kavarntha Kalvan", released in 1987, In Bengali as "Sedin Chaitra Mas", released in 1997 and in Bollywood as "Mein Prem Ki Diwani Hoon", released in 2003. Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made very good amount of profit. It was the twentieth (20th) highest grossing Indian film of 1976.
