Daag: A Poem of Love is 1973 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Romantic Drama film. Daag: A Poem of Love is directed by Yash Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra and the story is written by Gulshan Nanda & Akhtar-Ul-Iman. Its star cast are Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore & Rakhee Gulzar in the lead roles. Story of a film is an adaptation of novel named "The Mayor of Casterbridge", written by Thomas Hardy and the novel was published in 1886. Movie was remade in Telugu as "Vichitra Jeevitham", released in 1978. Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made huge amount of profit. It was the third highest grossing Indian film of 1973.
