Zanjeer is 1973 Indian Bollywood (Hindi Language) Action Drama film. Zanjeer is directed by Prakash Mehra and produced by Prakash Mehra and the story is written by Salim-Javed. Its star cast are Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Pran & Ajit Khan in the lead roles. Movie was remade in Telugu as "Nippulanti Manishi", released in 1974, In Tamil as "Sirithu Vazha Vendum", released in 1974, In Malayalam as "Naayattu", released in 1980 and in Bollywood and in Telugu simultaneously released as "Zanjeer" and "Toofan", released in 2013. Film did very well at Indian box office and also recovered its total budget and made huge amount of profit. It was the fourth highest grossing Indian film of 1973.
